Who we are
Seelanbrom.com is an online store selling t-shirts and apparel, operated from India. This policy explains what personal data we collect from visitors and customers, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
If you have any questions about this policy, you can contact us at seelanbro2020@gmail.com.
What personal data we collect and why
Orders and purchases
When you place an order, we collect information necessary to process it, including your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and order details (items purchased, order value, order history).
This information is used to:
- Fulfil and ship your order
- Communicate with you about your order (confirmations, shipping updates, issues)
- Process refunds, returns, or exchanges
- Comply with tax, accounting, and legal record-keeping obligations
Payments
Checkout payments are processed by Razorpay, our third-party payment gateway. We do not store your full card, UPI, or net banking credentials on our servers — these are handled directly by Razorpay in accordance with their own privacy policy and security standards (including PCI-DSS compliance). We retain only the information needed to confirm payment status (e.g. transaction ID, payment status, amount) for order and accounting records.
You can review Razorpay’s privacy practices at their website.
Accounts
If you create an account on seelanbrom.com, we store the personal information you provide in your profile (such as name, email address, and saved addresses). You can see, edit, or request deletion of this information at any time by logging in, or by contacting us directly. Your username cannot be changed.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help with spam detection.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies for your convenience, so you don’t have to re-enter these details when commenting again. These cookies last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we also set cookies to save your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last two days, and screen option cookies last a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login persists for two weeks. Logging out removes your login cookies.
If you edit or publish content (as a site administrator), an additional cookie is saved containing no personal data — just the post ID of the content edited. It expires after 1 day.
We also use cookies to support core store functionality, such as keeping items in your shopping cart and remembering your session while you browse and checkout.
Analytics and marketing
We may use tools such as Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site (e.g. pages visited, time on site, general location) and tools such as the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure and improve the relevance of our advertising. These tools may set their own cookies and collect data about your browsing behavior across sites. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using their browser add-on, and manage ad preferences through your Facebook/Instagram account settings.
Media
If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included, as visitors who download images from the site could extract that location data.
Embedded content from other websites
Pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, maps, social media posts). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited that other website directly. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that content, including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
We share your data only as necessary to operate the store:
- Razorpay — to process payments
- Shipping/courier partners — to deliver your order (name, address, phone number)
- Spam detection services — to screen comments for spam
- Government or tax authorities, where required by law
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
How long we retain your data
- Order data is retained for as long as necessary to fulfil legal, tax, and accounting obligations under Indian law.
- Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely, so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically rather than holding them in a moderation queue.
- Account data: if you have an account, your profile information is retained until you request deletion or close your account. Administrators can also see and edit this information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, have placed an order, or have left a comment, you can request:
- An exported copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Erasure of personal data we hold about you, except where we are legally required to retain it (e.g. for tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes)
- Correction of inaccurate personal data
To make a request, contact us at seelanbro2020@gmail.com.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Payment data is sent to Razorpay for processing. Order data may be shared with shipping partners to deliver your purchase. Some of these services may process data on servers located outside India; where this happens, the relevant provider’s own privacy and security practices apply.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
